Wedding Pie: Background
Wedding Pie is a 60/40 indica-dominant hybrid cross between the famous Wedding Cake and Grape Pie strains packing a moderate amount of THC ranging from 21-25% THC. It was first propagated by Cannarado Genetics who were experimenting with Wedding Cake crosses to create a strain with more flavors and dazzling aromas. They were successful, as their Wedding Pie boasts a very sweet and creamy aroma, and a fruity dessert flavor, leaving behind a fuel-like aftertaste and a breath of fresh lemons. If you prefer a calming high, Wedding Pie is sure to put your mind at ease and soothe your muscles into a deep sleep.

Wedding Pie Cultivation
Cultivating the Wedding Pie strain is rated as moderately difficult for a handful of reasons. The genetics are strong and healthy, so the strain grows well in indica-dominant fashion with a bushy plant structure and broad water leaves. However, it can be a bit of a bugger when it comes to humidity. Be sure to monitor humidity levels in your grow room to prevent mold or powdery mildew from settling into the thick, dense colas. In smaller rooms, her growth can be pretty massive, so regular topping, trimming, and training will also be necessary to keep her growth manageable and under control.
Wedding Pie Appearance
Wedding Pie plants are simply beautiful. They grow very bushy and end up just dumping lots and lots of THC-rich trichomes, giving the whole plant a crystalline appearance. Each massive cola breaks into a handful of smaller, spade-shaped nugs that range in shades of green, throwing rich purple hues in cooler environments. Each flower is also covered in sandy orange to amber pistils as well as a thin blanket of resinous trichomes that give each flower a reflective, shimmery white sheen.
Wedding Pie Scent, Flavor, and Effects
Wedding Pie is an extremely eye-catching strain, though its flavor and unique aromas really make the strain shine. As the plant grows, it releases lots of fresh, herbal terps, though these quickly change when the flowers are harvested and dried. One dry, they release a lot of dank earth notes. If you agitate the flowers with a grinder, you’ll get a better idea of what the flavor will be like. Ground flowers release a sour berry, grape, and spice aroma that fades into a mouth-watering earthy sweetness.
The scent indicates a lot of what the flavor will be like, though the actual taste is much sweeter and way less earthy than the aroma would have you believe. Wedding Pie buds pack a very unique flavor, bringing notes of sweet grapes and fresh summer berries to the front before being overpowered by the light and creamy yet spicy smoke that is guaranteed to make you cough. The strain mellows out a lot at the exhale. As you release those spice tones, you’re met with a rich nutty vanilla-like dough flavor, leaving behind a creamy, cakey flavor on the tongue with distinct berry overtones.
As you exhale the spicy smoke, you’re then hit with the whole body effects in both your mind and body. At the onset, you’ll notice a gently invigorating tingly feeling in your head that leads you into a heavy cerebral buzz, leaving you feeling extremely happy and uplifted as well as blissfully unfocused and euphoric, ultimately helping you to feel very calm and mellow. As the mental effect settles in, you’ll also notice a deep body high that calms the physical body, washing you with powerful physical relief that is sure to have you feeling happy, relaxed, and couch-locked.
